Last week at the pediatricians she noticed that Josh's eyes were kind of crossing at times. I took him to the eye doctor today and found out he's pretty far-sighted and needs glasses! Oh my goodness...I thought maybe he would just need to wear a patch or something but I never thought glasses! If anyone has any tips on how to get a 2-year old to wear glasses I'm open to suggestions :) This should be fun. I just feel bad my little guy has been seeing double all this time!

On Saturday Joshua got his first real haircut. Okay...that's only partially true. What actually happened was Friday night I tried to give Josh his first haircut and I failed horribly! So instead of letting all the other toddlers in nursery tease him endlessly about his sad hair...we took him to a kids salon and got it done right on Saturday morning :) I was worried he'd freak out...(which he does a lot lately) but he actually was perfect and had fun playing with the steering wheel that was attached to the chair. Can you believe it cost $20? And that was the best price we could find. Hopefully I'll be able to do the next cut myself since it's all evened out now. I have to admit I was very sad to cut away his curls, but the rat-tail was in and it was time to either pony tail it or cut it off! haha
On another note, I started a new job with a home healthcare agency. It's really great because I can say yes or no to any assignment, so I don't have to be away from home for too long. My first assignment is working with a little boy with Dravet syndrome, (pronounced dra-vey) which includes severe seizures and some developmental delay. He is so loving and absolutely adorable. I keep thinking about the day to day these parents go through...and how much I take for granted my healthy little boy. This boy I care for has to have the lights off when he's inside, he has to wear tinted goggles when he's outside, he can't get to tired, hungry, thirsty, cold, hot..etc or else it can trigger a seizure. He has to wear a helmet when he's outside in case he falls down because of a seizure, and it is likely that he won't live to adulthood. I don't know why this little boy was born with this problem, but I do know that when I get home from working with him I want to be a better mom to my little boy. We are so blessed.

New haircut, new tie, the dangerous part is he knows how cute he is!
He loves to look at our fishy's!
Getting his hair cut
I thought this picture was funny..it really shows his sense of humor!
A boy through and through, he loves his trucks and blocks
He still loves his books too, this is Josh running up to me with a book he wanted me to read to him saying "PEEEAS!!!" I can't say no to that face!
