It Must Be Love...

Joshua has recently become very attached to a stuffed animal. Last night I tucked him in bed with "Doggy" and a few minutes later he started crying so I went in to check on him. He was standing at the side of his crib reaching desperately toward the ground and when he saw me he screamed, "DOGGY!!!! DOGGY!!!!" with tears rolling down his cheeks. Sure enough there was doggy laying on the ground. I rescued the dog and tucked a very relieved Joshua back into bed. It must really be love!

January is a long month. Joshua got sick and had to get breathing treatments and steroids for his airway again just like last year, which means lots of trips to the doctor. We spent $90 on co-pays which is just lame! Don't you think if you were at the doctor less than 24 hours ago you shouldn't have to pay another co-pay!!? Well I do. Yesterday Eric was in a car accident on his way to work. He was on the freeway but luckily there was traffic so he wasn't going very fast and he's okay. Anyway, we haven't heard officially yet but the altima we bought less than a year ago is probably totaled. I'll try to post a picture of the damage soon.
But it's not all bad right now, because I have a little boy with a contagious smile! This is what I found when I returned from getting my lunch ready and Joshua had just finished his (pizza). I don't think the picture does the real thing justice...he had pizza sauce up his nose, in his ears and hair..it was a huge Mess!

Joshua also found out he likes the frosting better than the cookie!

Pictures from Christmas

Joshua is completely obsessed with cars. He carries these little matchbox cars around with him all day.

Here's some video of Joshua from the last month. Here's him playing with a cool sea adventure book he got for Christmas, dancing to Jingle Bells and playing around with Grandpa Bateman.

Good Eatin'!

Lately we've tried some new dessert recipes and I thought I would share. My new favorite place to go online is The Pioneer Woman.com. She is funny and definitely knows the secret to any great recipe: Butter and/or Chocolate. The second recipe is from her blog.

These are both amazing AND low-fat. No....no they are not low in fat. Not at all. But definitely amazing.
