Say It don't Spray it!

Joshua has gotten used to eating his cereal by now...for the most part. His favorite thing to do right now is get a big mouthful of cereal and then do a "raspberry" and spray cereal all over himself and Me. I'd have to say it's a good thing he looks so cute when he does it.

Our Home

Well, I know I said I would post pictures of our new place as soon as I found the camera.... But when I found the camera, I thought "I'll take pictures as soon as I finish cleaning everything and putting stuff away." Well that was a month ago and I realized that's just never going to happen. So today was the day. I was hurrying around, cleaning everything (don't you feel special now?) and then I thought..."If I keep cleaning...I'm not gonna have time to take pictures!" So I stopped and just took them. So there you have it. Here's our new place, small but perfect for us!

Here is the view from our balcony (In October). I love the Fall in Washington!!!

Thanksgiving

This year we were so happy to be surrounded by our families on Thanksgiving. Eric's family had a big dinner with everyone, which is around 50 people! It's so nice to see an extended family that is so close because I grew up only seeing my cousins once a year. Then we went to my house for ANOTHER DINNER. My grandparents came to visit from Utah and got to meet Joshua for the first time!
My perspective on food has changed a lot over the last few months. My dad was diagnosed with Celiac Disease this summer, which is an allergy to gluten, soy and whey. It's a very strict diet and equally as sensitive as a severe peanut allergy, so any contamination results in very painful colitis. My sister has Hashimoto's disease, which is also autoimmune and involves the thyroid and latest studies show that a gluten-free diet is helpful in controlling symptoms. And of course, my own dairy-free diet that restricts anything with milk, butter or whey in the ingredient list. So almost everything that we eat is made from scratch, and the result is a lot more healthy food.
Anyway, I guess I'm learning that what we eat can really effect our health and how good we feel, and that my life was way too linked to the enjoyment of food!
On a happy note, I officially have made it to my pre-pregnancy weight! Although I give a lot of credit to being dairy-free (and having 2 bouts of gastroenteritis), I am very happy to have lost 22 pounds!!
